Alienware unveils it’s new high-end gaming laptop ahead of its scheduled launch- the Alienware All Powerful M17x. It is big and thick – 2.11 inches thick, to be precise. At 11.6 pounds, and 15.98 inches by 12.65 inches, the M17x comes with a 2.4GHZ Core 2 Duo P8600, which can be upgraded to a Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core, and up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM. The hard drive capacity goes up to 1TB and it is equipped with two NVIDIA GeForce GTX280M graphics processing units for a grand total of 2GB of graphics memory.
There’s also a dual-player Blu-ray drive, nine-cell battery, 8-in-1 card reader, FireWire, four USB 2.9, 802.11n WiFi, GeForce 9400M G1 GPU with HybridPower if you want to save some battery runtime. And in case you are clamoring for audio/video option, the M17x includes HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort, as well as 6.1 audio out. And as you can see, glowing red lighting is everywhere, which includes the keyboard, track pad, and considerable grille, fairly screaming, “I’m a gaming laptop” to anyone who dares approach this laptop’s cooling vents.
With these specifications plus a 1920 x 1200 17-inch screen, users probably can run almost all the gaming titles available in the market today without having to worry about resource limitations. Prices start at $1799 when it “officially” arrives
